Augsklei Primer 60
Primer is a material that is used to prepare the surface before gluing. Primer is needed in order to improve the surface of the substrate (polyvinyl chloride, aluminum or steel) before lamination.
Primer “Augsklei Primer 60” has been specially developed for use with the adhesive “Augsklei CG-60“ for chemical action on the surface of PVC products, in order to achieve the best result of adhesion during lamination. It has an improved composition, due to this its consumption is less up to 20-30% than most of the competitors. The fluorescent substance that is added to the primer makes it easier to monitor the efficiency of its application in UV light.
Applications: primer is applied with felt or special nozzle after cleaning and drying of the profile surface. Felt application is preferable, as moist and fast-drying film forms. The advantage of the felt application is that during mechanical friction of the felt, the primer is easily mixed with the profile material and harmful substances are dissolved. It should be ensured that the felt corresponds to the shape of the profile, is not worn, and applies the primer over the entire surface of the profile. In the case of production stop, the felt must be put in a solvent substance and must not be dried. Felt should be periodically cleaned from foreign particles appearing on its surface. To dry the primer, IR lamps or hair dryers are used. During primer drying, the profile surface is heated to 40°C – 60°C, after that surface is activated by the contact with the glue which is applied to the film and forms a strong bond with the film.
Packaging: tin can of 25 kg
Storage conditions: primer should be stored in a closed original package under normal cool and dry storage conditions at room temperature from + 5 ° C to + 30 ° C, should be protected from direct sunlight. In such conditions, primer can be stored for at least 12 months without a negative impact on its quality.
